What Is Applied Behaviour Analysis?

Applied behaviour analysis (ABA) includes the assessment of covert and overt behaviour and its function through observation, measurement, and the design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of interventions obtained from the principles of behaviour in attempt to produce significant improvements. ABA is used as a treatment to produce meaningful improvements with, but not limited to, neurological disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder), neurogenic disorders (e.g., Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Williams Syndrome), emotional-behavioural disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, Alzheimers, Dementia, substance abuse disorders, phobias and brain injury rehabilitation, behavioural paediatrics and sports. ABA has been proven to be an effective methodology for teaching skills across several domains of human development and addressing challenging behaviours that interfere with daily functioning.

Reach Beyond Behaviour Therapy Inc. utilizes evidence-based assessment tools that focus on diagnosing, treatment implementation and evaluation to teach children, youth and adolescents with genetic, chromosomal and neurological disorders. Each client receives individualized treatment goals that produce significant changes to enhance their lives and those around them!
